How I work with this

Personality disorders are not a "defect" or a "sentence." They are stable ways of organizing the psyche that formed in response to early experience and once served a protective function. Over time, they begin to interfere. I work using the TFP method (Transference-Focused Psychotherapy) — a structured psychoanalytic approach developed specifically for working with borderline and narcissistic personality disorder. Changes happen through the relationship with the therapist — gradually and deeply.

Do you recognise yourself?

  • emotional instability
  • impulsivity
  • identity problems
  • fear of rejection
  • manipulation in relationships

If you recognised 3+ points — it is a good reason to talk to a psychologist.

Approach & Methodology

Personality Disorders Are Not a Sentence

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) and narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) are stable patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that cause suffering to the person and those around them. Modern psychotherapy, particularly the TFP method (Transference-Focused Psychotherapy), produces real results.

  • Instability of self-esteem and identity
  • Intense and unstable relationships
  • Fear of rejection and abandonment
  • Impulsivity and self-harm

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to be 'cured' of a personality disorder? +

A personality disorder is not a disease you can get 'cured' of. It is a structure of the psyche that can change significantly through deep psychological work. The goal is not to eliminate a diagnosis, but to help live more stably, build relationships, and feel whole.

Why is TFP recommended for BPD instead of CBT? +

CBT is effective for symptom-focused work. TFP is aimed at structural personality changes: internal object relations and identity. For borderline personality disorder, this depth is key.

Do I have to have an official psychiatric diagnosis to apply with this request? +

No. I work both with people who have an established diagnosis and with those who simply notice certain traits or patterns in themselves that interfere with living. The main thing is your desire to understand your condition and improve the quality of your life.

How exactly will schema therapy help me control my emotions? +

We will learn to recognize your vulnerable states (child modes) and harsh inner voices (critic modes) that trigger impulsive reactions. Over time, we will grow your inner ability to care for yourself and make balanced decisions (healthy adult mode).

Why does therapy for personality disorders usually take so long? +

Deep character traits and ways of reacting have been formed over years, often as the only available way to survive in difficult circumstances. To safely explore these patterns, gradually change them, and form new ways of interacting with the world, it takes time and a safe, stable therapeutic space.

Is it possible to completely cure a personality disorder? +

The goal of our work is not to erase your individuality, but to help you adapt. We work so that symptoms become less pronounced, your reactions more flexible, and so you can build stable relationships and manage your states based on your own internal supports.
